If you’re at all familiar with the weight loss and fitness industry, then you have most likely heard of the company called Beachbody. Beachbody has basically become synonyms with high quality fitness and diet products with releases like P90x, Insanity, the 21 Day Fix, and more. In addition to these great workout programs, they have also released a nutritional drink called Shakeology. If you haven’t heard of Shakeology before, you will definitely want to research and read up on it, as it has basically revolutionized the shake industry with its huge nutritional benefits, as well as its unique ability to help you lose or maintain your already healthy weight. With that being said, let’s take a look at some the things that make Shakeology so great, and why we think it’s a great solution for those of us who are looking to beef up their nutritional intake, without maxing out on their calories.
So unlike a lot of “diet shakes” Shakeology is actually VERY healthy for you, according to the fine folks at Beachbody. It is packed with a whole host of nutritious ingredients, including many of the necessary vitamins and minerals needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Some of these ingredients include things like vitamins A, B, C and D, and then other things like blueberry power and oat extract. Basically, we’re just trying to give you an idea of just a couple of the super healthy elements that make up this shake. The ingredient list is actually much longer, and includes a couple of dozen of very healthy essential elements from fruit, vegetables, and more. This helps in your weight loss endeavors, but if you drink it regularly it can also help with your digestion, and to curb unnecessary hunger pains.
How Do You Make It?
Shakeology comes in a powder form, and in a number of different flavors including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and much more! They even have a vegan version of their shake for those who don’t want any sort of dairy products in their shakes. Basically though, you just take the powder and make the shake however you want. Personally, I go with a cup of ice, 1 cup of almond milk, a banana, and 1 package of shakeology powder. You can also throw in a few strawberries, blueberries, or whatever fruit you may have to add some additional nutrients and flavor. It’s pretty much as simple of that. Of course there are other things you can add too like peanut butter for protein, but you can also keep it pretty simple – it’s up to you!
When Do You Drink It?
Whenever you want! That’s the beauty of it. It can be a great snack, but works most effectively for weight loss when you are replacing a meal a day with it. Of course before trying any diet plan you will want to check with your doctor first, but that is how I have found success with it, and have been able to lose the most weight. I like to have a shake for breakfast, or often I will skip breakfast and then have a shake at lunch time. But really, it’s up to you to decide how you want to use Shakeology, and to come up with a drink schedule that works for your diet and weight loss needs.
